Putrajaya Bridge Pillar

The Putrajaya Bridge Pillar design is come from the ancient Greek culture with the Greek Architecture , this is one of the 3 type of orders of Greek Architecture that is Iconic , it has the scroll look alike at the top end of the pillar and also with horizontal line on the pillar itself make it like is being put together with cylinder of stone. 

Kuching Golf Club, Sarawak

This building took the design of the pyramid in the ancient egyptian culture , the upper part of the building is build with triangle shape to form , and diagonal line is form from the building itself , as they use the egyptian culture architecture because in the ancient times, they believe that the pyramid is symbolize as "the emerging land" (info taken http://www.touregypt.net/featurestories/pyramidreligion.htm)where new thing are born and also can symbolize wealth. 

Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange Building

This building is build with the one of the greek architexture order that is Doric, the pillar that show in the picture consist of pillar with some line design and at the both end of the pillar with a simple square design ending . The design of the pillar is look simple and if make the building look strong and the colour of the is yellow brown give the feel of the ancient design .

Stadium of Shah Alam

The construction of the Football Stadium in Shah Alam is similar to the Rome Colosseum , both have the same structure that is they have 45 degree slope at the slide of the stadium to allow people sit and view , and also the most nearest to the field is for those high ranking people who can afford to purchase. In addiction , both middle of the stadium have oval shape shape and wide field . In the ancient times , Rome Colosseum is for gladiator to fight to entertain the royal and the people . nowadays the stadium is nearly similar to the 

ancient times but instead of blood shedding , now is to entertain people through sport.

Ipoh Town Hall

This building also use pillar like in the ancient Greek architecture and also one of the orders that is Doric, it is the most simple type of order . The top of the pillar is simple design with square shape end. This pillar makes the building look balance , because of the vertical line from the pillar makes the building balance and well arrange. 

Why am I doing this course ?

Well to tell the truth , i also not sure. i guess i wanted to learn about designing because i love to draw . i like those creative things , mind blowing thing and also those  abstract design ;etc. i suck in accounting or mathematics . so Graphic design and multimedia is the best choice for to me to choose. because i can learn those skills and programs.

Is History of Art & Design necessary for my large goals?

Well, in my opinion i guess is necessary because that we can learn from the pass and what kind of design and method they use in their design . We can take their artwork to use as reference and remake it into new that can be accept by the new generation with the mix of the pass design . So History of Art & Design is very important to my large goals . Other than that, well when we gain more knowledge and the more creative we will be,  we can use the knowledge from this subject to improve ourselves.
